This rich, single-batch Cognac is the second release in the Master Blender’s Selection series, a wonderful parting gift from one of the most revered cellar masters of all time – Yann Fillioux, 7th generation Master Blender at this iconic Maison. The Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 2 Limited Edition Cognac is a single batch, cask-strength Cognac made from a blend of eaux-de-vie that have been aged for a minimum of 10 years, making it an XO quality. It comprises mainly Cognacs from the Petite Champagne region, distilled without the lees for a smooth, clean palate and slowly matured in humid cellars. The result is a sweet and spicy Cognac showing tempting notes of dark fruits, brown sugar and peppercorn. 

Each new Master’s Blender Selection is as highly anticipated as the last, showing the skill that the masters at Hennessy have put into their casks. This limited edition Cognac allowed Fillioux to utilize his full creativity, taking advantage of eaux-de-vie that were in short supply, crafting a Cognac that can never be replicated again. Once it’s gone - it’s gone for good. 

Presentation of the Bottle

Like its predecessors, the Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 2 comes in a modern bottle featuring a squared-off neck, wooden cork stopper and a white label with blue text. The cork is sealed with a paper seal of authenticity, carrying the Master Blender’s signature as well as batch and bottle number. 

How to Enjoy Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 2

Regardless of whether you drink it neat, with water or with the addition of an ice cube, we recommend using a tulip glass to fully concentrate the aromas of this rare expression. An excellent digestif.
